The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) |
|
(for children aged 3-5) |

The EYFS at BSA provides an exciting and stimulating start to your child’s education, based on the four principles of the UK’s Framework for the EYFS.

A Unique Child
At BSA we believe that every child is a competent learner who can be resilient, capable, confident and self-assured.

Positive Relationships
We provide a stimulating, safe environment where children can form secure, nurturing relationships with staff and pupils, which will enable them to become strong and independent.

Enabling Environments
The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children’s development and learning. We strive to maintain an exciting and challenging environment which is well staffed, and well resourced.

Learning and Development
Play is the vehicle by which our children gain access to the curriculum, and the importance of play cannot be emphasised too much. Children are given opportunities to engage in activities planned by adults and those initiated by themselves, both inside and out.

|
|

Children develop and learn at different rates and all 6 areas of Learning and Development are equally important and interconnected.

Early Childhood is the foundation on which children build the rest of their lives. In the EYFS children are forming attitudes towards education that underpin all future learning, so we believe, that their time in the EYFS should be FUN!

All children deserve the very best start in life, and that’s what they get here at BSA.
