KEY STAGE 2 TRIP TO AGAMY

As an end-of-year treat the whole of Key Stage 2 were invited to spend the day in Agamy on Monday 21st June.

A brilliant day was had by all, despite the incredible heat.

YEAR 9 FORT QUAIT BAY FIELDTRIP

The students were taken out by Mr. Abbott and Ms. Gouda to meet the French divers responsible for mapping and bringing ashore the ancient ruins of the Lighthouse at Fort Quait Bay on Sunday 20th June.

They were given a guided tour and information about topics ranging from the Medieval area, Mamluks and Mohamed Ali. They also learnt about the construction and purpose of the Fort, the reason for its destruction and then finally the recent reconstruction.

A big thank you goes to the French Center for the Alexandrian Studies (CEAlex) for organising the trip!

  Y8 CLEAN UP THE PARK!

On Wednesday 9th June, the Year 8's, accompanied by Mr. Abbott and Ms. Maram, set off to investigate the types and location of rubbish dropped on the park next to the school. They then cleaned up the park by collecting any rubbish they saw.

This fieldtrip gave our pupils a chance to contribute and look after their local environment!

  GCSE/AS/A2 ART EXHIBITION

This year 11 GCSE/AS/A2 students exhibited an exciting and diverse range of art work in the Secondary Hall that once again reflected great creativity and skill.

Congratulations to Mr. Yeates and his students for putting on such a stunning exhibition!

  CONGRATULATIONS RED LIONS!

Key Stage 1 had a fabulous Rounders competition, showing all of the skills they have been learning in their PE.

The Yr 2 House Captains stepped up to the challenge of helping their teams, modeling fair play and good sporting attitudes. There was some excellent fielding, making the final score line very tight.

Yellow Tigers scored 10 rounders, Blue Jaguars 12 rounders, Black Panthers 13 rounders and Red Lions winning with 14 rounders. Well done to everyone who took part.

Congratulations to the Red Lions who won on the day!
