Snack Time!

The children in KS1 really enjoy their snack time every morning. They have tried lots of different fruits so far - melons, grapes, apples and oranges!

After conducting their own surveys, the favourite fruit in KS1 by far are BANANAS!

Active Learning

Children in KS1, as throughout the school, are all learning by actively participating in lessons. This gives them the confidence, knowledge and ability to become more independent and willing to learn.

Active learning taking place in KS1 increases the level of challenge for the children and gives greater depth of understanding to create more dynamic learning environments!

Hippo Lippo!

Yr 1 have been reading traditional stories. They used the story of 'Chicken Licken' to write their own story called 'Hippo Lippo'. The children helped the teacher to make a power point presentation of the story and then they invited FS2 to look and listen.

We enjoyed it, we hope you do to!

Luisa Cardona Garcia did some fantastic writing when she wrote the middle and end of the Hippo Lippo story without any help!

Yr 1 topic on “Special Me”

As part of Yr 1 ’s topic on “Special Me” the children found out about keeping healthy through diet. They used their senses to explore a range of fruit and then designed and made their own fruit salad. Yummy!
